Pediatric Dentistry

Periodontal (gum) Disease

The most frequent reason for tooth loss is periodontal disease.  Teeth with

heavy plaque and tartar buildup can cause gum problems.  Many times

there is no pain or symptoms until the tooth may require extraction.  If

your gums bleed when brushing or flossing, it could be a sign of gum disease.
